Objective of the Event:

Emotions play an important role in human consciousness and shape much of our mental health. After we cross 60, new challenges emerge, including empty-nest syndrome, bereavement, loss of physical health due to various illnesses, and role changes. Various negative emotions interfere with healthy and happy living.

There is low awareness in the community about many of these aspects. There are many inappropriate attitudes towards these issues.

Objectives :

  1. Sensitise the participants about emotional well-being
  2. Eaborate the important determinants of emotional wellbeing
  3. Create fraternity amongst the participants
Brief Description of the Event

 The event started on time, with Mr. Ashok Ninave as the master of ceremonies.  Dr Dhananjay Ookalkar welcomed the participants and explained about the various activities of Ashwini kidney trust and the purpose of the current activity which is being run under the gerontology club.

Mrs. Manesha Deshpande elaborated about the history of the SankatMochan Hanuman Mandirand the activities conducted by the mandir. Mr. Satokar discussed various dimensions of emotional health with Dr. Sharmishta Gupta.  Emotions are a natural state of human beings; experience shows us various emotions at different stages of human life’s  Emotional strength is better in women than in men. So that they can handle various situations in life with fortitude. Family relations are important in determining emotional stability. There should be free communication among family members. Loneliness is an important cause of depression. It can be overcome by being social.as man is a social animal.

 In the open house Dr Pramod siddham raised the issue of the seat of emotions. The event was well attended and in the pious  atmosphere of the temple it revealed an important aspect of human life.

 The organisation of the function and purpose was well appreciated. Mr. Vinchurne offered to make the temple premises available for any such activities. He saw an opportunity in such programs to bring the community closer so that people would approach each other in times of need
